Teisha Hip Hop Dancer Teisha Smith

Teisha trained in ballet and jazz at Louise Woodvine Dance Academy in Barbados for 17 years. In 2001, she taught ballet and jazz as well as performed in a cabaret cultural show called, ‘Bajan Roots and Rhythms’ dinner and show for a year. She is part of ‘Zhone’ a dance company in Barbados, where she performed at various events and has choreographed a number of ballet, jazz and hip-hop pieces. She has also had the opportunity to perform at a Shaggy concert held in Barbados.

In 2002, she came to Canada to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance majoring in dance at Ryerson University. She has performed at Ryerson Theatre in 2004 Choreographic Workshop and is presently rehearsing for Ryerson Dances.
