The HoneyKittens Children's Dance Program
is an exciting and unique ten week program that will improve your child's dance technique, style, and performance quality.
This amazing program runs from Sunday January 15th to Sunday March 26th 2006
and will be held at George Brown College Casa Loma Campus in their beautiful and professional dance studios.
The students will be taught by renowned dance instructor and choreographer
Katarina Rajkovic and members of her dance company, the HoneyKats.
They will be trained in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop.
The program will include skills such as jumps and turns, as well as HoneyKats repertoire taught by HoneyKats company members themselves.
The HoneyKittens will be exposed to the highest quality professional training by working dance professionals.

Ballet
The HoneyKittens will sharpen their dance technique by refining and fine tuning their dance movement base in a fun yet challenging ballet class. This class will improve the dancers' body placement, ballet technique, grace and posture. In studio work includes barre work, centre work, and across the floor.
Jazz
The HoneyKittens will be exposed to several jazz styles ranging from musical theatre, classical jazz, lyrical and modern jazz. This class will challenge the dancers' to let loose, pick-up several dance styles, and learn the HoneyKats company jazz repertoire. In studio work includes, warm-up, centre work, progressions across the floor and exciting dance combinations.
Jumps and Turns
The HoneyKittens will learn all the tricks and turns a dancer needs to wow their audience. This class will focus on breaking down the proper technique to execute proper jumps and turns and will encourage new and creative skills to add to the dancers' repertoire.
Hip Hop
The HoneyKittens will be energized and encouraged to bust a move in a fabulous and energetic hip hop class. This class includes a cardio warm-up, stretch and strength exercises and the latest hip hop choreography. The dancers' will sweat, dance and have a great time and they just won't want to stop. Get ready to hip hop with the HoneyKats unique and funky style and let's dance, dance, dance!
Tap
The HoneyKittens will learn how to tap and refine their skills and will be challenged by new tap skills and choreography. This class will enhance the dancers' musicality and sharpen the students listening skills. Put your tap shoes on and dance to the beats and rhythms of the HoneyKats!

Suggested Student Attire
|
|
Dance Clothes:
Any colour leotard/tank, short or long sleeves
Dance tights/any colour- should be footless
Hair should be up- in a ponytail and bangs should be pulled off the face
Kids can bring extra clothes for hip hop- baggy pants, t-shirts if they want. No hats please.
Shoes:
Tap- Tap shoes
Ballet- Ballet slippers
Jazz or Jump and Turn- Jazz oxfords or jazz runners
Hip hop- Jazz runners or indoor running shoes

Dance Kraze Policies

Policies:
Dance Kraze Productions reserves the right to assess the student and place them in the appropriate class and level.
Dance Kraze Productions reserves the right to decline any participants' involvement.
Dance Kraze Productions reserves the right to change, cancel or substitute dates, add or remove faculty members during the program, at anytime and will post changes when necessary.
Parents and Students must sign and fill out a Release and Indemnity Agreement Form prior to start of the program or the student can not participate in the program.
Deposit is non refundable.
No refunds will be issued after start date of the program
Dance Kraze Productions and Directors must be notified about any illness, allergies, disabilities or injuries of a student prior to registration to make sure that all safety precautions are met.
